It does so much more than blogger. My big problem is that image uploads to gallery don't work from my linux client. They do on my windows client so I guess it is a client thing. I've never tried Wordpress, don't have any blogs but maybe you should try making your own blog system with cake, you won't need to worry about updates then ;).
